Aine Divine is a portrait artist who has been painting professionally for 15 years. Born in west Cork Ireland, Aine moved to Scotland in 1996 and now lives and works in Roslin, Midlothian.

BBC Star Portraits Mo Mowlem's Portrait

Working predominately in oil and watercolour her portrait style, while realistic can be described as painterly and loose.

Her portrait work was shortlisted for the Irish National Portrait awards three years in a row and in 1993 Aine was an awardwinner with her oil painting of J. Russell.

Since moving to Scotland she has exhibited widely and has undertaken many prestigous portrait commissions. In 2004 three of her portraits were selected for exhibition by the Society of Miniature Painters at the Mall Galleries in London.

This year Aine was selected as one of the portrait artists to paint Dr. Mo Mowlam on star portraits with Rolf Harris.
